Talk talk : Lets Talk about SEX

Sex is a natural process. Without it, the continuation of human race would not be possible. It is considered one of the basic human needs. Yet, even in this 21st century, the society is not open about it. People find it very difficult to even pronounce the word ‘sex’, let alone discuss it freely, because it is considered as taboo in Nepali society.
It is also natural for youths to be curious about sex. And it is necessary to have proper and efficient information about it. But it is seen that people, no matter how much close to each other, find it awkward to discuss with each other the topic. Parents find it awkward to talk with their children; friends find it difficult to talk with each other. Therefore, to provide a platform where one can talk about sex freely in a civilized manner and address one’s curiosity, ‘Let’s talk about Sex’ is is being organized.

In the first edition of the talk series, Prateebha Tuladhar, a journalist, will talk about her experiences connected to menstruation.

The process of menstruating takes up a huge chunk of a woman's life, teaching her so much about her own body and that of the others. Yet, we're taught to be ashamed of it and deal with it as a taboo in social conversations. Why? Let's get together and talk about it.
