MY VOICE: PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP

Besides thousand words, it’s also said that a photograph is a reflection of a photographer. So, in this basic photography workshop, we will ask questions to ourselves, exploring the unexplored and going beyond our day to day life activities, to find your own story, to develop your own voice and to discover your relationship with the photography.

The workshop will help you understand, practice and guide how to tell a story through pictures.

Before starting the workshop, we will find a story that can be related with the news, issues, etc. After selection of individual story, the participant will develop their own approach to work on his/her story project in which participant will work throughout the week followed by a group discussion everyday and participants will become the critics of their work, which will then be followed by daily presentations, lectures and assignments.

The course is designed for both fresh beginners as well as working professional who have the passion for telling stories through photographs.

• Please send your application INCLUDING selected photographs (single or stories images no more than 12) low resolution files with your file name (for eample: ram_sharma_01.jpg) all kept in one folder or if your work is online then you can mention the link in the application form to voicetoexpress@gmail.com by Tuesday 4th June, 2013.

• Selected participants are requested to research and propose for 2-3 story plans along with their story TITLE and SHORT summary (no more than 50 words each) by 5th June, 2013.
