International Standup Comedy

Top of the World Comedy, Comedy Tuk Tuk, Moksh and Warsteiner are proud to announce Nepal’s first big international stand-up comedy show! On the 26th of April, five great comedians from five different countries across the globe are performing at Moksh. Tickets are available through TKTMONKEYS.COM (01-4444428).

The line-up:

Headline act: Pete Grella (United States)

Pete Grella is a Hong Kong-based stand-up comedian and improviser who has been cutting up audiences around Asia for over nine years. Pete’s sets often dissect life as an expat (and just trying to fit in, in general), though he’s never afraid to poke fun at himself and his own bad habits. He also likes to engage the audience, so if you're sitting up front, be ready to chat!

Featuring: Aayush Shrestha (Nepal)

Nepal’s rising star in stand-up comedy who is well known for the viral Youtube video’s featuring his performances at StoryYellers. Born in Nepal and raised in American movies, he has an out-of-place sense of humor for a Nepali guy, just like his sense of reality. It is not surprising that his subjects range from masturbation jokes to critical analysis on why momos are communist.

Featuring: Chris Raufeisen (United States/Thailand)

Chris Raufeisen is a Thai – American Standup Comedian, Born in Bangkok and raised in Chicago, years of rejection and failure have manifested into this heavy hitting joke machine. Prized for his clever sometimes dark and dirty humor, in his 2 year career he has already been a finalist in Magners International Comedy Competition 2017 and 2018, Opened for Doug Stanhope in Bangkok, created Bangkok Roast Battle, and co-founded Raw Comedy, the weekly open mic that many call the heart of Bangkok’s comedy scene. He is also currently a resident comedian at Khaosan Comedy Club where he does shows daily.

Featuring: Fedor Ikelaar (Netherlands)

The only international act in this show that has performed in Nepal before. In fact, he started doing comedy when he was living in Kathmandu. Since then, he has been a touring comedian, telling the world of his adventures. Now he is back to tell you what the world thinks about Nepal.
