International Circus Cabaret Show PART II

On Saturday 7th December thrill seekers and circus lovers will gather for an afternoon of circus and cabaret performances hosted by Circus Kathmandu. This fundraising event, which starts at 4pm, is taking place at arguably the best music venues in Patan, Moksh.

To mark the occasion, Circus Kathmandu, Nepal's first and only contemporary circus company, have created a brand-spanking new version of their latest production “Swagatam”.
The show is an extraordinary piece of contemporary circus which mixes breath-taking acts with highly creative and effortlessly fluid ensemble work. Aspects of Nepali social life are abstractly captured through a rich and diverse physical landscape and are accompanied by unique bed of sound inspired by traditional Nepali music.

Circus Kathmandu has been running for three years and its innovative programme works with 13 members. These members are either survivors of human trafficking or other vulnerable situations. Circus Kathmandu provides them with new opportunities, life skills and international-standard of circus training.

Headlining the cabaret is the incredible acrobatic duo, Marie-Pier Campaeu and Ethan Law. This duo formed three years ago in Montreal and have performed in many countries around the globe, this awe-inspiring performance will leave viewers amazed by its artistry and flare. In addition to the circus entertainment there will be live music, bingo and break-dancing performances.

All proceeds raised from the event will support Circus Kathmandu on their mission to raise awareness of human trafficking.
