Feminist Film Screening

VOW Media brings the much-debated ‘Soongava’ to Kathmandu.The first chapter of our venture is in collaboration with Mitini Nepal, one of Nepal's most progressive LBT rights organization.

Our monthly feminist film screening will be showing 'Soongava' on the 10th of November amongst participants from all walks of life. 

‘Soongava, Dance of the Orchids’ is Nepal's first film that talks about non- heterosexual relationships and concentrates on the issues of sexuality and gender identity among women. It is a drama film released in 2012 film written and directed by Subarna Thapa. Come join us in exploring feminism, sexuality, gender rights and human emotions with important panelists and an open discussion after. 

The doors will open at 2:30 p.m. and the movie will start at 3:00 p.m.
