Ciné Dîner / Friday 5 June

CINEMA / Free entry

For this first Ciné-Dîner we offer you a French film “In The Name of My Daughter” (year 2014 / 117 min) by André Téchiné with Catherine Deneuve, Guillaume Canet and Adèle Haenel.
The film was in the official selection of Cannes 2014 (out of competition).
This thriller-drama tells the story of a real unsolved crime. It was shot in Nice and matches perfectly with our special menu from Provence (South-East of France).

Acclaimed director André Téchiné, brings a gripping real-life thriller to the screen. In 1976 Nice, young divorcee Agnès Le Roux (Haenel) falls for shady lawyer Maurice Agnelet (Canet), allowing him to manipulate her into handing the casino run by her mother, Renée (Deneuve), over to the mob. The subsequent disappearance of Agnès and Maurice’s emigration to Panama with her money convinces Renée that he has murdered her, and so she swears to see justice served.

DINNER / presale price : 500 Nrs for whole menu

Provence is a geographical region and historical province of southeastern France, which extends from the left bank of the lower Rhône River on the west to the Italian border on the east, and is bordered by the Mediterranean Sea on the south.

The cuisine of Provence is the result of the warm, dry Mediterranean climate; the rugged landscape, good for grazing sheep and goats but, outside of the Rhône Valley, with poor soil for large-scale agriculture; and the abundant seafood on the coast. The basic ingredients are olives and olive oil; garlic; sardines, rockfish, sea urchins and octopus; lamb and goat; chickpeas; local fruits, such as grapes, peaches, apricots, strawberries, cherries, and the famous melons of Cavaillon.

Menu : “A taste of Provence”
Niçoise Salad (tuna, olive, tomatoes and eggs)
Main course
Grilled chicken leg with mixed herbs of Provence
Garlic bread and home-made black olive tapenade
Navettes (traditional biscuits from Marseilles)
Peach-apricot salad
For vegan people we can replace the meat by cheese or eggs!
Limited number of meals so please kindly book your menu at or 4241163 or 424 28 32.
