YUWA Manthan with Abhishek Shrestha about 'Climate Change and Youth'

YUWA Manthan is a discussion program whereby the youths come together once a month to discuss on the issues affecting youths and concerning them. This March, YUWA Manthan is going to be conducted on the topic 'Climate Change and Youth' and Abhishek Shrestha will be sharing his experiences about Climate Change issues in Nepal.

Objectives:
• To provide a platform for the speaker to showcase the exemplary work and also act as bridge to connect with other prospects.
• To discuss the issue in-depth and address the queries in depth.

Abhishek Shrestha is a Youth Climate activist from Nepal passionate about youth, Climate policy, development, Sustainability and governance. He holds masters in Climate Change and Policy from University of Sussex, UK and awarded with Chevening Scholarships by UK Government to pursue his Masters. He was elected to serve as YOUNGO focal point 2012-13 (YOUNGO- Youth Constituency at UNFCCC) at COP 18- Doha and interim focal point at COP -17 Durban to ensure positive and constructive participation of the international youth in the UNFCCC official process. He closely follows UN Climate negotiation. He is a Co-founder of Nepalese Youth for Climate Action (NYCA). He is a British Council International Climate Champion and also served as a member of the US Embassy Youth Advisory council.
