Women of the mountains - Documentary and Debate

Alliance Française of Kathmandu invite Martine Breuillaud, a filmmaker to screen "Femmes des Montagnes" / "Women of mountains, a documentary shot during her two last trips in Nepal in 2009 and 2013.
Film screening will be followed by a public interaction with film-maker.
In Nepal, a country sandwiches between China, Tibet and India, women are still considered second class citizens. However, three sisters are determined to make a difference and challenge conventions. Founders of the Association Empowering Women of Nepal, the Chhetri sisters devote their time to improve living condition for Nepalese women, helping them to develop the necessary skills to take control of their life by promoting gender equality.
