Video Ad Making Competition

VIDEO AD COMPETITION
Purpose
The primary purpose of the Advertisement Competition is to provide a platform for young and energetic management students to explore their creativity, develop their marketing skills and showcase their talent. Along with this, participants may get an opportunity to sell the ads made by them to the sponsor present in the event itself. The Advertisement Competition requires preparation of an advertisement for Springwood Western Men’s Wear.

Advertisement details
SPRINGWOOD is a major initiative taken by Surya Nepal Private Limited (SNPL) which offers a wide range of branded men's wear. Their general focus is to provide the customers with high quality products at affordable price. This strategy is in line with the Corporate Vision of delighting domestic and global customers with a proud "Made in Nepal" label.
The guidelines to be followed by the participants for the competition are as follows:
• The Advertisement should be of maximum one minutes in any video format (preferably MP4, MOV, FLV)
• The target audience must be between 18-35 years of age group and from middle or lower middle class.
• It must be based on the idea of how Springwood Men’s Wears are better than other types of garments.
• The Advertisement must entice the target audience to switch their choice from non-branded (such as Chinese) products to Springwood Brand.
• The Advertisement should reflect the superiority of Springwood Men’s Wear by emphasizing its Quality, Reliability and Affordability.

Participation Details
The participants must be currently enrolled in a Bachelors or Masters Degree Program in field of Management. A team may consist of maximum three members. There is no limit to the number of teams to participate from each college.
Evaluation Criteria
Advertisements submitted by the participants will be evaluated on the basis of the given criteria:
• Relevancy to the guidelines mentioned above.
• Presentation, quality and practicality of the video
• Concept originality
• Creativity
• Value to the sponsor

Presentations Details
Preliminary screening will be conducted on the formal event held in KUSOM premises, on 28th December, 2012, whereby the participants are required to present their video, in-front of the panel of judges from Surya Nepal. Selected participants will be asked to showcase their video on formal KAF Day 3 event that is going to be held in Army Officer’s Club. On that day, all participants MUST carry an Identification Card of their college. The participating students must be present at least half an hour before the competition starts.

Registration Details:
• Registration charge : Rs. 500 for each college
• Last date of Registration: December 16, 2012
• Last date of Submission : Friday, December 21, 2012 by 5:00 p.m.

What the Winner Receives
All participating students will be awarded a “Certificate of Participation”. Best advertisement will get an attractive gift hamper.
