Second National Summit of Health and Population Scientsits in Nepal

The ‘Second National Summit of the health and population scientists in Nepal’ will be one of the most comprehensive Summits of the year 2016 organized by the Nepal Health Research Council (NHRC), the apex body for health research in Nepal. We received an overwhelming response from the enthusiastic participants in the first Summit, which has been a tremendous encouragement for us to host the second Summit and to continue it as an annual gathering in the years ahead. Health and Population Scientists as a group can contribute immensely to promote evidence informed decision making process and it has been instrumental to achieve many of the goals of MDGs. Annual gathering and provision of platform for the scientists become phenomenal in sustaining the MDG achievements and to encourage achieving SDGs as unfinished agendas of the MDGs in the health sector. Realizing these needs, it is our pleasure to host the Second Summit with the theme of "Health and Population Research for Achieving Sustainable Development Goals in Nepal" which will be held on 11th-12th April, 2016 in Kathmandu, Nepal.
