5:00 pm onward Friday September 23, 2016

Mero Chowk, Ka Baata, and Siddhartha Arts Foundation's
Education Initiative cordially invites you to explore the notions
of belonging in a multilayered Patan through art
and fair at The Heritage Home, Lalitpur.
मेरोचोक (Mero Chowk), a project under the collective Ka Baata, wishes to explore the notion of belonging in the Greater Patan area (Patan, Kumaripati, Jawalakhel, and Pulchowk) through various art mediums.
Through three months long researches, interactions, and observations, Mero Chowk has explored and collected various oral narratives of people who work/live in the specified area, and has explored gentrification and how the economical activities in the localities have been affected because of modern business ventures replacing traditional business activities. Thus, the project aims to explore our collective heritage and juxtapose it with individual identities through art exhibition/fair which will feature installation arts, audio-visual arts, photography, and other forms.
Furthermore, the artists involved in the mapping project will be able to document their own experiences, and the visitors will be able to share their interesting encounters and interpret their findings, by directly interacting with the artists and their works.
Date: September 23 (Friday) – September 25 (Sunday)
Time: September 23 (5 PM – 9 PM)
September 24 - 25 (11 AM – 5 PM)
Venue: Tajaa Pha, The Heritage Home
