Largest Tree Hug

OTMR team has come up with the concept of “Largest Tree Hug”. It is one day event to be held on World Environment day 2014 where 1500 people will be hugging 750 trees in a minute where two green volunteers will be hugging one tree. It is an awareness program which aims to give the message to entire world that for the sustainability of healthy environment, protection of trees is important and to protect something loving them is the must. Spreading this message we are hugging trees on a mass on that day.

Objectives:
1. Implanting the sense of responsibility of tree protection through children participation.
2. Global awareness for loving tree for its sustainable existence.
3. Sensitizing people about importance of forestation
4. To integrate people from different social, political, commercial, educational, environmental background in this global campaign.
Activities

About Tree Hugging :-
On that day we are gathering in forest area nearby Gokarna (Jagadol) with our 1500 green volunteers, for spreading the message “Plant trees and love the existing ones” through tree hugging. These students are the green volunteers of OTMR who have been actively involved in the campaign.
They will be hugging the tree for a minute as an expression of their love for trees and will be setting a world record of hugging tress as per the standard set by Guinness World Record.

Monitoring:-
The program will be monitored by the reputed celebrities of Nepal. About 25 celebrities as well as socially recognized personalities will be judging the event. They will be giving the feedback of the event.
