KT 2017 Encounters

KT 2017 Encounters is a masterclass by Kathmandu Triennale 2017 curator Philippe van Cauteren and Bjorn Heyzak, Production Manager, S.M.A.K.

The workshop will explore the production approach of KT 2017 and its many international artists. Follow-up workshops will be held by Srijanalaya (Education Partner of KT 2017) to train 'Encounter Leaders' who will be hired by KT 2018 to lead production of international artworks (14 - 24 March 2017) and subsequent in-venue engagement programs (24 March - 9 April) such as guided tours and workshops for children/community.

The workshops are targeted towards students and professionals interested in art, architecture and social work. 

We would like all KT 2017 exhibiting artists to attend the masterclass. Also, we would encourage non-participating artists to join us as the coming iteration of the Triennale is planned to serve as a platform and would like to involve as much individuals from the art fraternity as possible.
