Constructive Conversations with Bryony Whitmarsh, senior Lecturer at Portsmouth School of Architecture.
Dear ALL Blue Coffee friends,
We welcome you to our next Constructive Conversations with Blue Coffee at Blue Coffee premises @ 5:00 pm on this FRIDAY (July 26th 2013). Mark your calendar.
======================================
Our Guest speaker for this week is Ms. Bryony Whitmarsh, senior Lecturer at Portsmouth School of Architecture, at the University of Portsmouth, where she teaches across two disciplines – architecture and interior design, which share an interest in time and space, particularly experience of space. She has spent 10 years working within Museums and has an interest in material culture and its relationships to both memory and identity.
What she will talk about on Friday 26th:
• She will be giving an introduction to her research on the Narayanhiti Palace, particular how memory/power is constructed through the way in which the palace orchestrates space.
• She aims to reveal the ‘social life’ of the Narayanhiti Palace, and will identify ways in which the palace has been re-valued over time, focusing on its reanimation as a museum and as the location for the proposed Ganatantra Smarak.
• She will be giving information about the Portsmouth School of Architecture and the teaching practice in design related to both Architecture and Interior Design over there.
=======================================
Do Invite all your friends to join our regular (Every Alternate Friday) Constructive Conversations with Blue Coffee
