A month session with Sonia Megías

KJC is bringing Sonia Megías to Nepal for the month of August.

Dates: 9th August- 4th September, 2013

About:
Sonia began composing at a very early age and she received guidance to continue growing as an artist and as a person from: Erasmus Fellowship (2003, Trieste, Italy); Fulbright Fellowship (2010-2012, New York, USA commissions from the Spanish Government (2009 and 2011).

Sonia is a Fulbright Fellowship student. Her music is often played all over the world. She currently lives in Madrid, where she conducts the choir Coro Delantal and teaches composition at Centro Superior Katarina Gurska.

She will be providing Composition, Arranging and Choir lessons.

1. Composition and Arranging classes:
Course duration: August 9 till September 4.
No. of classes: 12 group classes (not more than 5 in a group)
Criteria: He/she has to be at least familiar with basic fundamentals in music. (e.g. scales, chords, chord-tones etc) and minimum knowledge in composition.
Course Details: The classes will be given on Modern, Choir, Song and Strings composition. You can choose one of them.

2. Choir classes:
Course duration: August 12 till September 9.
No. of classes: 12 group classes
Criteria: He/she has to be able to sing in tune.
Course Details: there will be two types of choir, one is "Metheny Choir" for adults of 15 and above, even parents or school teachers can participate in this choir and another one for kids that can be called "Walsh Choir".
