कविता is कूल: Workshop & Public Performance by Word Warriors

Yep !

To beat the Birgunj heat, we are bringing lots of exciting poetry-related activities to the city because, कविता is कूल! As a part of our campaign, Write to Speak, a team of Word Warriors will be in Birgunj this April to write, perform and listen to poetry from the youth in Birgunj.

VENUE: MOHAN MARKET ROOFTOP, BIRGUNJ
TIME: 5:30PM

Cool things happen at this rooftop and this time, it's going to be poetry! Six poets from the Word Warriors will be performing their poetry sets, exclusively for Birgunj. This is also an opportunity to come learn more about spoken word poetry and how you can be involved.

WORKSHOP: SPOKEN WORD 101

TIME: 11 AM TO 3 PM

THIS WORKSHOP IS FREE OF COST !

The Word Warriors will also be conducting a three-day workshop to introduce this art form to those interested in spoken word poetry.

Who are the Word Warriors?
Word Warriors is a Kathmandu-based collective of spoken word poets formed in December 2010.

What is Write to Speak?
Write to Speak is a campaign run by the Word Warriors to introduce spoken word poetry to youth from diverse communities, giving them an opportunity to speak out and be heard. The campaign is supported by the Danish Center for Culture and Development (CKU) while Birgunj's very own Sanskriti the local partner for this series of events.
